Just like the New Berlin community as a whole, our school district emphasizes a sense of togetherness and belonging among our students, families, teachers, staff and alumni. In the interest of keeping our alumni connected to our schools after they graduate, we established New Berlin Nation a year ago this month.

As we reflect on New Berlin Nation’s first year, we wanted to walk through a few of the features that users can access to stay connected and get involved with everything that’s happening in New Berlin schools.

What is New Berlin Nation?

You can join New Berlin Nation quickly and easily. Once you’ve entered some basic information, you can choose to add an optional bio and custom profile picture so that other alumni can get to know or reconnect with you. Once you are registered, you can access all the features the Nation offers, including:

• Directory: One of the most popular features of New Berlin Nation is our directory. You can search your fellow alumni by first name, last name, graduation year or maiden name so that you can reconnect with old classmates and friends. You can even message other users through the secure New Berlin Nation platform, and can adjust your profile settings if you want to keep your profile private.
• News: Members can stay up to date on everything that’s going on in our school district via our news page. We cover a wide variety of stories affecting New Berlin students, our alumni and our community.
• Events: We encourage our alumni to get involved in our schools by checking out our upcoming events. You can attend school performances, reunions and community events, as well as events planned by other former students.
• Volunteer: Volunteering gives our alumni an opportunity to give back and make a real difference in the lives of current students. There's a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for alumni to choose from, including event support, mentorship programs, curriculum and programming consultation and job shadowing. You can fill out an interest form through New Berlin Nation, detailing which volunteer opportunities most interest you.
