School District of New Berlin Maintains Highest Level of Achievement on State Report Cards

For the seventh consecutive year in which report cards were issued, the School District of New Berlin “significantly exceeds expectations”, according to 2022-23 state-issued district report cards released this week. Of the 378 districts statewide, the SDNB is one of just 15 to reach that level, and one of only nine K-12 districts to do so.

The second season of the School District of New Berlin’s community concert series will be three times bigger than the inaugural 2022-23 slate. It kicked off November 3rd with Pat McCurdy and continues through May.

School District of New Berlin Celebrates Its Advanced Placement Scholar Award Recipients

Dozens of School District of New Berlin students took advantage of the Advanced Placement opportunities offered by the district during the 2022-23 school year, many earning AP award recognition.

The SDNB had 90 Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars and 54 AP Scholars with Honors last year. AP Scholars are students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. AP Scholars with Honors awards are granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

Record Six SDNB Educators Earn Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Awards

Six School District of New Berlin educators have been chosen as Herb Kohl Educational Foundation award winners, the most ever in district history.

Samantha Braun, a special education teacher at New Berlin West; Saghar Homayounpour, a computer science teacher at West; Karin Houston, a counselor at West; Samantha Jayne, an English teacher and
English Learner instructional coach at West; Devin McKinnon, a technology education teacher at New Berlin Eisenhower; and Alison Napieralski, a special education teacher at Elmwood Elementary have been awarded Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellowship Awards.

All School District of New Berlin schools continue to “significantly exceed” or “exceed” expectations according to 2021-22 state-issued District and School Report Cards released this week. The
District also “significantly exceeds” expectations, one of just 18 of 377 districts in Wisconsin to reach that level, and one of only 13 K-12 districts to do so.

SDNB Celebrates Student who Earned "Perfect" Score on AP Exam

The School District of New Berlin is proud to celebrate 2022 New Berlin Eisenhower graduate Kayla Sanders for earning a perfect score on a college-level Advanced Placement (AP) Exam in
spring 2022.

Kayla was one of only 369 of students in the world to earn every point possible on the AP Computer Science A Exam.
