District Mourns the Loss of Eisenhower Coach Don Pichotta

The New Berlin Eisenhower community is saddened by the passing of a longtime teacher, coach, and mentor, Don Pichotta. Coach Pichotta died suddenly Tuesday, May 29th.

For the past 50 years, Eisenhower has been fortunate enough to have Coach Pichotta teaching and coaching our students.

After graduating from UW-La Crosse, the Waukesha High School alum was was hired as a physical education teacher at Eisenhower in 1968.  Mr. Pichotta was an exceptional educator, and retired from teaching in 2004. During his time at Eisenhower, Coach Pichotta coached football, high school boys basketball, middle school basketball (boys and girls), and boys golf.

We feel blessed as a community to have had our lives positively influenced by Coach Don Pichotta for the past 50 years.  We’re grateful for his dedication, passion, humor, friendship, professionalism and mentorship.
