Bio

Keith Harenda, EHS class of '84, has been part of the community since graduating. After attending UW - Eau Claire, Keith started his first company American Asbestos Removal in 1988. He later co-founded a General Contracting company, which he left in 1999 to start KPH Construction. With a belief in challenging the status quo and thinking differently, KPH approaches every project as a unique opportunity. Keith is joined by brothers Ken Harenda (EHS '83) and Kert Harenda (EHS '85), along with a team of project managers, carpenters and environmental workers. KPH often mentors small, disadvantaged or veteran-owned businesses and was recognized as the 2008 MMAC Future 50 Award – Silver, 2009 Gold and 2010 Master Mettle recipient. Keith has also served the Town of Brookfield as a Supervisor from 1995-2004 and as a Supervisor on the Waukesha County Board from 2004-2007. Because of his father's long fight with cancer, Keith became involved in the Leukemia Lymphoma Society – Wisconsin as a member of the Board of Directors, as a Wisconsin Trustee and eventually part of the National Board of Directors. Keith holds a Business Management degree from Cardinal Stritch University. Now a long-time Brookfield resident, Keith is the father of two sons, Kody and Konner Harenda, and is engaged to EHS '84 classmate Brigette Veternick Breitenbach. In his free time, Keith is enjoys scuba diving, skiing and is a private pilot.
